Thirumalai Kovil is a Murugan temple situated at Panpoli at Tenkasi District in Tamil nadu. The Temple has 625 steps same like Pazhani Temple.The Temple is situated on beautiful hill surrounded by Western Ghats near the state boarder of Kerala.The view from the temple is very very beautiful.

     The Lord Murugan in this temples shrine is called 'Thirumalai kumarasamy' or 'Thirumalai murugan'.Because of the lords name most of the people in this region have the name 'thirumalai'. There is one more goddess temple within this temple, called 'Thirumalai Kaali amman'. This hill temple is surrounded by many coconut plantations and small villages.

A large number of devotees visit this place.At the entrance of the hill, there is a shrine for Lord Vallabha Vinayaka. There is another Vinayaka shrine in the middle of the hill path. The sacred spring at the top of the hill is called Ashta Padmakulam. A flower called Kuvalai blossomed here. The Saptha Kannikas worshipped Muruga by offering the flower. The idols of Saptha Kannikas are installed on the banks of the spring.

There are 625 steps to reach the temple at the hill top. There is also  road which can take you directly to the entrance of the temple. This hill temple is surrounded by lot of coconut plantations.

തമിഴ്‌നാട്ടിലെ തെങ്കസി ജില്ലയിലെ പൻപോളിയിൽ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു മുരുകൻ ക്ഷേത്രമാണ് തിരുമലൈ കോവിൽ. പസാനി ക്ഷേത്രം പോലെ 625 പടികളാണ് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലുള്ളത്. കേരളത്തിലെ സംസ്ഥാന ബോർഡറിനടുത്തുള്ള പശ്ചിമഘട്ടത്തിന് ചുറ്റുമുള്ള മനോഹരമായ കുന്നിലാണ് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രം സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ നിന്നുള്ള കാഴ്ച വളരെ മനോഹരമാണ്.

ഈ ക്ഷേത്രക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെ മുരുകനെ 'തിരുമലൈ കുമാരസാമി' അല്ലെങ്കിൽ 'തിരുമലൈ മുരുകൻ' എന്ന് വിളിക്കുന്നു. പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെ പേരായതിനാൽ ഈ പ്രദേശത്തെ ഭൂരിഭാഗം ആളുകൾക്കും 'തിരുമലൈ' എന്ന പേര് ഉണ്ട്. 'തിരുമലൈ കാളി അമ്മൻ' എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ഒരു ദേവാലയം കൂടി ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിനുള്ളിൽ ഉണ്ട്. നിരവധി തെങ്ങിൻ തോട്ടങ്ങളും ചെറിയ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളും ഈ മലയോര ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന് ചുറ്റുമുണ്ട്.

ധാരാളം ഭക്തർ ഈ സ്ഥലം സന്ദർശിക്കുന്നു. കുന്നിന്റെ പ്രവേശന കവാടത്തിൽ വല്ലഭ വിനായകന് ഒരു ശ്രീകോവിലുണ്ട്. മലയോര പാതയ്ക്ക് നടുവിൽ മറ്റൊരു വിനായക ദേവാലയം ഉണ്ട്. കുന്നിൻ മുകളിലുള്ള വിശുദ്ധ നീരുറവയെ അഷ്ട പത്മകുലം എന്ന് വിളിക്കുന്നു. കുവലൈ എന്ന പുഷ്പം ഇവിടെ പൂത്തു. പുഷ്പം അർപ്പിച്ച് സപ്ത കന്നികർ മുരുകയെ ആരാധിച്ചു. വസന്തത്തിന്റെ തീരത്ത് സപ്ത കണ്ണികകളുടെ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങൾ സ്ഥാപിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.

കുന്നിൻ മുകളിലുള്ള ക്ഷേത്രത്തിലെത്താൻ 625 പടികളുണ്ട്. നിങ്ങളെ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിന്റെ പ്രവേശന കവാടത്തിലേക്ക് നേരിട്ട് കൊണ്ടുപോകാൻ കഴിയുന്ന റോഡുമുണ്ട്. ധാരാളം തെങ്ങിൻ തോട്ടങ്ങളാൽ ചുറ്റപ്പെട്ടതാണ് ഈ മലയോര ക്ഷേത്രം.
